The Italian Society for Gender, Identity and Health (SIGIS) is a professional non-profit association created in July 2021 by health professionals committed to the promotion of the physical, mental and social wellbeing of people with gender incongruence and intersex conditions.


Aims/Mission
- To promote the physical, mental and social wellbeing of transgender people and people with intersex conditions
- To ensure rights to physical, mental, and social wellbeing for transgender people and people with intersex conditions
- To promote knowledge about gender identity
- To foster professionals’ knowledge and skills regarding transgender care and intersexuality
- To promote research and scientific experiences by publishing reports and organizing scientific conferences and meetings and to collaborate with other international organizations with common interests and objectives
